Bracket assembly (Japanese model-kit style)

Two L-brackets are bolted to a base plate by six bolts closed with a nut underneath each, and a rod runs through both brackets, held by a nut on each end. The base plate stays in place while the brackets, fasteners and rod come off.

4Assembly steps
  1. Seat the two L-bracketsSet the two L-brackets on the base plate, lining their bolt holes up with the holes in the plate.
  2. Insert the six boltsDrop the six bolts through the bracket flanges and the base plate.
  3. Fit the six nutsThread the six nuts onto the bolt ends below the base plate.
  4. Insert the rod and fit its nutsSlide the rod through both brackets and screw a nut onto each end.
