01About the service
AssemblyStep (the “Service”) is operated by 集聯科技有限公司 (BazaarLink), a company incorporated in Taiwan (“we”, “us”). The Service lets you open a STEP (CAD) file in your browser, have AI plan the assembly steps, and export a model-kit style PDF assembly manual and an assembly animation video. You can also choose to share the result in a public gallery.
By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
02Accounts
You sign in with a Google account or an email sign-in link. Keep your account secure; you are responsible for what happens under it. We may suspend or close an account that is abused, breaks these Terms or is used unlawfully.
03Your files and content
- Your STEP file is read and parsed only in your browser and is never uploaded to our servers.
- You keep all rights to your models, manuals and other content. We claim no ownership.
- You confirm that you are entitled to use any model you open in the Service, and that your use does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, trade secrets or other rights.
04Limits of AI planning
Assembly steps are inferred by AI from part names, counts, sizes and positions, and can be wrong or not match a real assembly order. Review and edit them before you rely on or publish them. We do not guarantee that any output is correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose; you bear the risk of assembling, manufacturing or selling anything based on it.
05Credit, free use, payment and refunds
Each day you get a limited number of free AI plans. After that, each AI plan is deducted from your prepaid credit (a failed plan is refunded to your credit). You can top up credit in fixed amounts; what you pay is the amount credited, with no extra fee. You can also pay to remove the watermark from a single manual (one-time per manual). Current prices are shown on the pricing section of the home page and may change; changes do not affect credit you already hold.
Refunds: unused prepaid credit can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you ask by email at support@assemblystep.com. Credit that has already been used (AI plans, watermark removal) is not refundable. Refunds go back to the original payment method. If you are unhappy with the Service, write to support@assemblystep.com and we will respond.
06Sharing to the gallery
You may choose to share one manual’s PDF, video and page preview images to the public gallery. When you do:
- After review, the content is published on the site for anyone to view; signed-in users can download the PDF. Search engines may index it.
- Your STEP file and part data are never published.
- You warrant that you have the right to share the content and that it contains no one else’s confidential information and nothing unlawful or infringing.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce and display the content within the Service (including generating thumbnails and page previews and showing it in the gallery and share pages). The licence ends when you take the content down, except for copies others already downloaded.
- We may reject, return or remove any content that breaks the rules or infringes rights, without compensation.
- An approved share may earn you credit; the current amount is shown on the pricing section.
07Takedowns and infringement
You can unlist your shared manuals at any time from “My manuals”. If you believe content in the gallery infringes your rights, email support@assemblystep.com with your contact details, the URL of the page and a description of your rights, and we will investigate promptly.
08Prohibited use
- Uploading or sharing unlawful, infringing, malicious or inappropriate content.
- Abusing AI planning, downloads or voting with automation, or getting around limits and payment.
- Interfering with or damaging the Service or other users.
09Changes and disclaimer
We may change, suspend or end all or part of the Service at any time. The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, interruptions or data loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event in question.
10Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). The Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
11Changes to these Terms and contact
We may update these Terms; significant changes will be announced on the site, and continued use means you accept them. Contact and complaints: support@assemblystep.com.
